On the Go With AAUW

Produced by the Alexandria Branch of AAUW of Virginia

"On the Go with AAUW" is recruiting AAUW members to help produce shows. Learn how to operate a studio camera, create graphics for the show, design the set, host a show, or help with audio and lighting. "On the Go with AAUW" is a monthly public access cable TV show focusing on issues of interest to AAUW - education, community, the arts, women's issues, international affairs. Our main goals are to:

 Bring visibility to AAUW and its issues
Give AAUW members and other women an opportunity to learn and practice communication skills as guests and moderators on the show or as crew members helping to produce the show
Inform, educate, and entertain our audience

Titles of a few past shows have been: Shortchange Girls, Shortchange America; Women in Public Life, Building a Better World; Women on Boards and Commissions; Janice Martin, Violinist; Rethinking Tourism; Cool Careers for Girls; Domestic Violence Across Cultures; and Stories from Iraq.

"On the Go With AAUW" is shown on Channel 10, a public access channel in Fairfax County three times per month:
             Second Sunday, 4 p.m.     Second Thursday 9:30 p.m.   Second Monday 12:30 a.m.
