Leadership Conference and State Board Meeting
August 1-2, 2009

AAUW of Virginia will hold its 2009 Leadership Conference from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. August 1 in Fishersville. The registration fee of $15 includes lunch and should be sent to the Vice President for Finance using the  form no later than July 24.

Registration and greetings will begin at 9:30 a.m. Assorted breakfast beverages and treats will be available.

The sessions begin at 10 a.m.
when Dr. Brenda Bryant, Dean of Students at Mary Baldwin College, discusses "Leadership in Transition," addressing changing issues when organizations evolve. At 11 a.m. there will be a panel discussion: "What Happened at AAUW Convention and How Does It Affect Your Branch and Our State?" chaired by Caroline Pickens with Jennie Sue Murdock and Jo Young.

Mary Kate Black, Vice President for Membership and Branch Development, will lead a discussion about online membership issues. . A session on mentoring is designed to help us refine our skills at developing the skills of others. We will share Branch activities and programs that relate to the AAUW mission.

Branch leadership and other members are urged to attend.

The incoming 2009-2010 Board of Directors will meet Saturday evening and Sunday morning August 1-2.
